MIES started Material Handling System Business

MHI Industrial Engineering & Services Private Ltd. (MIES), a group company of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), Japan, has started engineering, procurement and construction(EPC) business of material handling system. The newly added lineup includes container handling systems featuring automated and eco-friendly solutions and bulk material handling facility for various industrial sectors such as ports, power plants, steel mills and mines.
MHI has been one of the world’s leading suppliers of such systems for over five decades. From now on, MIES, backed up by its skills and experiences in chemical and environmental plant EPC business, will further strengthen its competitiveness in this new business field deploying global engineering and manufacturing force.
MIES has already been participating in several projects mainly in Asia, Middle East, Africa and Oceania where the market of material handling system is expanding along with the economic growth and logistics demand increase.
For the execution of material handling system business, MIES will closely cooperate with other group companies of MHI. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machinery Technology Corporation, Japan will be the overall engineering base for design optimization, research and development. Anupam-MHI Industries Limited, India will be the manufacturing centre of
container handling cranes and bulk material handling equipment.
With the expanded product and solution lineup, MIES will continue developing its EPC business to serve customers all over the world.
